Vacancies - Sales Operations Assistant

Ocean Shell is currently recruiting for a permanent, full time Sales Operations Assistant to join our team starting as soon as possible.

We have been developing a range of beautiful and innovative products produced from sea shells for the past 26 years, inspired by our surroundings in the Paua shell capital, Riverton, in the Deep South of NZ - a close knit coastal community.

What the position will involve

In this role, you’ll assist the sales operations team for three brands, Luméa Ocean Shell Studios and Ian Blackwell. You’ll liaise with customers, support sales managers and process orders from the original enquiry through to the final dispatch while keeping an eye on stock levels and help with sales analysis.

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal person is very keen to learn and develop this new role and a great team player.

You will need good written and oral communication skills and be happy in front of a computer as well as out in the dispatch room.

We are looking for a great multi-tasker with the ability to keep an eye on the progress of multiple sales orders at the same time. Attention to detail, organisation and follow through are key attributes we are looking for.

A tertiary qualification, an interest on running our webshop (lumea.co) and familiarity with computer reports and excel would be an advantage.

This is a great opportunity for someone who adapts easily into new environments and who is excited to work for an established company in our beautiful Southland region.

This is a permanent, full time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
