This premium New Zealand pāua shell (NZ abalone) has been carefully selected for its size, colour, and natural beauty. Half of the shell’s lime-coated exterior is left untouched to show how it appears when harvested from the sea, while the other half is finely ground and polished with a clear lacquer to reveal the stunning iridescent colours beneath. It’s a striking contrast that highlights both the raw and polished states of genuine pāua.
