This Ocean Shell veneer features genuine New Zealand Pāua in its natural, uncoated form, with a noticeably lighter tone that reveals soft blues, pale greens, silvery hues, and subtle hints of pink and lavender. The flat sheet is approximately 0.3mm thick and presented raw – no surface coating or backing panel is applied. The lighter selection gives this veneer a more delicate and pastel-like appearance, while still retaining the shell’s natural iridescence. Using this product on a light or dark background will affect the finish due to its translucency.
This veneer is ideal for inlay, jewellery, marquetry, decorative accents, and fine surface applications where a soft, naturally elegant pāua look is desired. It is made from A and B grade New Zealand Pāua with no coatings or backing.
